Piled up paper works, sleepless nights because I admit that I am a workaholic woman. I want to set things perfectly. Sometimes I get tired and went to my favorite spot in Davao City. I see different people with different reactions, it made me realize that time passes by so fast that I almost forget what I really want to do. This is to travel alone. Yes, you heard me right! To travel alone. This is the time you measure yourself how determined you are in traveling in a place you never went before, everyone is a stranger to you.

Nowadays, people tend to travel because they want to have something to boast online through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and etc. We forgot the real essence of traveling. 

Panas Falls of New Corella, Davao Del Norte

Today, I will be going to the North of Davao Region and I choose Panas Inland Resort in New Corella, Davao Del Norte. This is a perfect place to unwind and escape from the busy world of the big city. You will really appreciate the beauty of nature because it’s like you are swimming in a cool water of basin and its water falls is soothing in your skin while the green leaves beneath your head protecting you from the heat of the sun to make sure that you enjoy the moment you touch the water. Panas also have man made swimming pool, which your kids will definitely enjoy it since it is just 2-3ft water level.

Here is how to get to Panas Inland Resort:
1. You can ride Davao Metro Shuttle that is routed to Tagum City. Bus Station is located at Abreeza Mall, Davao City, ticket is worth P100 (Student and Senior) – 120.00 this is just 2-3 hours’ travel.
2. When you arrived at Tagum City’s bus station, transfer to a Jeepney which is routed to New Corella terminal. Jeepney stop is just beside the Davao Metro Shuttle Bus Stop. Tagum to New Corella’s fare is only P30.00

3. Last stop is at New Corella’s terminal, this is not the end, you need to ride a motorcycle or what the locals usually called them “habal-habal”. All drivers knows where Pinas Inland Resort is, they will immediately give you a safe ride going to the resort and that cost only P40.00.
4. Entrance free is only P20.00 per person.
5. To sum up all your fare expenses including the entrance fee that will only cost P360.00, forth and back already! Take note, there is no absolutely no CORKAGE!

So pack up your things, and get ready to hit the summer 2016!

Since then, everything changed. You showed me unique happiness. Then I felt a genuine love. Am I in the state of being in love? The uncertain things that I never felt before, but I guess this is just an infatuation which I know it is not.

Now, I face my greatest enemy, and which is myself. The battle between myself and the other side of being me. I choose to ignore you. I tried to be insensitive. At the end of the day, I know you’d ask why I am hurting myself.
I am not being selfish. I am protecting my heart. Yes, I am afraid. I am coward. I don’t want to be hurt. I guess cupid’s arrow is as strong as the bullet fired at me that I failed in ignoring this emotion.
So I sat, paused and watched how beautiful the sunset in the gloomy sky. Tomorrow is another day, another chance to live. Yes! A chance. Today, I distress this emotion. I was slapped by truth which I cannot escape.
Our feelings are mutual, we both know that. Let’s give it a try. You and me to the next level.

Hugs Gave by Brie Larson to Every Sexual Assault Survivor from Lady Gaga’s Powerful Oscar Performance

Brie Larson- Hollywood actress and singer was captured by the Hollywood Reporter, Chris Gardner during the Oscars award last February 28, 2016 @ Dolby Theater.

The song “Til It Happens To You” performed by Lady Gaga was one of the Oscar-nominated songs. The Golden Globe winner performed the balled – co written by Diane Warren for the documentary “The Hunting Ground” about sexual assault on college campuses. There are group of survivors attend the event.

There were emotional standing ovation during the performance of Lady Gaga, but it was Best Actress winner Brie Larson who was moved to do more by hugging each survivor as they walked of the stage. 

The topic is something close to Larson’s heart. There was a scene as she portrayed a young mother who lived in captivity with her son in Room. Different trauma specialists were already met by Larison before the filming consulting about the sexual abuse.

Nevertheless, viral sweet snapshot in Instagram of Lady Gaga, kissing her fiancé, Taylor Kinney at the Academy Awards with the caption: “I never thought anyone would ever love me because I felt like my body was ruined by my abuser. But he loves the survivor in me. He’s stood by me all night proud an unashamedly. THAT’S a real man”.
