Hugs Gave by Brie Larson to Every Sexual Assault Survivor from Lady Gaga’s Powerful Oscar Performance


Brie Larson- Hollywood actress and singer was captured by the Hollywood Reporter, Chris Gardner during the Oscars award last February 28, 2016 @ Dolby Theater.
The song “Til It Happens To You” performed by Lady Gaga was one of the Oscar-nominated songs. The Golden Globe winner performed the balled – co written by Diane Warren for the documentary “The Hunting Ground” about sexual assault on college campuses. There are group of survivors attend the event.

There were emotional standing ovation during the performance of Lady Gaga, but it was Best Actress winner Brie Larson who was moved to do more by hugging each survivor as they walked of the stage. 

The topic is something close to Larson’s heart. There was a scene as she portrayed a young mother who lived in captivity with her son in Room. Different trauma specialists were already met by Larison before the filming consulting about the sexual abuse.

Nevertheless, viral sweet snapshot in Instagram of Lady Gaga, kissing her fiancé, Taylor Kinney at the Academy Awards with the caption: “I never thought anyone would ever love me because I felt like my body was ruined by my abuser. But he loves the survivor in me. He’s stood by me all night proud an unashamedly. THAT’S a real man”.
